About
Outsider Garage started as the exclusive stateside distributor of Boost Doc — a role that put us deep inside the drive-by-wire ecosystem before most builders had heard the term. That foundation shaped everything we build today.
Engineering First
We design plug-and-play drive-by-wire conversion kits engineered to fit correctly the first time. Each kit is built around a specific engine and manifold combination — matching throttle body dimensions, pedal geometry, and harness routing so the install is clean and the calibration is straightforward. Our catalog spans a growing range of chassis and engine platforms, with a dedicated line of parts developed exclusively for the Nissan Skyline and related platforms.
Proven on Track
In 2024, Outsider Garage made its official motorsports debut as a sponsor for Ricky Hofmann competing in Formula Drift Pro-Spec. Ricky's 2JZ-swapped Nissan S-Chassis runs our OEM 2JZ drive-by-wire kit, which mounts a Bosch 68mm throttle body directly to the OEM 2JZ intake manifold at stock throttle body length. The build also uses our Nissan 350Z pedal kit, premium DBW harnesses, IACV block-off plates, and supporting hardware. The result: approximately 900 rear-wheel horsepower with the snappy throttle response the Bosch 68 is known for.
Fast Forward to 2026 and our DBW kits are widely used over the entire world in Formula Drift, Time Attack and many other professional motorsports.
What's Next
We will keep expanding our drive-by-wire offering to additional chassis and engine platforms, and continue sourcing and distributing the highest-quality parts for Nissan Skyline owners worldwide. If it bolts on and it works, we'll stand behind it.
